How Chandler Honey Sweetens Every Corporate Gift Box

Chandler Honey founder Tique Chandler beekeeping in an Alberta canola field

Tique Chandler filled her first jars of Chandler Honey from a Toronto apartment in November 2020, using honey shipped from her parents’ bee farm in Scandia, Alberta. Within two years she had hand filled more than 27,000 jars, one label at a time. Corporate buyers keep coming back because every jar still traces to that one family and one farm.

Meet Tique Chandler, the maker behind Chandler Honey

Tique Chandler grew up on the Scandia Honey Company farm in Scandia, Alberta, where her family has kept bees since 1937. She started beekeeping herself as a teenager, studied business at the University of British Columbia, and spent time in tech sales before deciding, in 2020, to build something of her own.

She launched Chandler Honey from her apartment that November, hand scooping raw honey from her parents’ farm into a creaming machine and stirring it for up to 48 hours until it reached a smooth, spreadable texture. She infused it by hand with real ingredients: fresh orange zest, real vanilla bean, dried bergamot. Honey had become a forgotten pantry staple, and she wanted to put it back at the center of the table.

Chandler Honey now runs out of Liberty Village in Toronto, Ontario, while every drop of honey still comes from her parents’ farm in Alberta. The company remains in good standing with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, and Tique still infuses many batches herself.

What Chandler Honey makes

Every jar starts as raw, unpasteurized honey from Scandia Honey Company, creamed slowly so it stays smooth instead of clumping. Chandler Honey infuses it with whole ingredients only: hand zested orange peel, scraped vanilla bean, dried bergamot, never oils, extracts, or stabilizers. Flavours include Crème Brûlée, Earl Grey, Mocha, Lemon & Ginger, Orange Grove, and the unflavoured “Classic” Wild Prairie.

Jars come in two sizes, a 140 gram small jar and a 250 gram medium, packaged in recyclable glass with metal lids. Because raw honey has such low moisture, the honey needs no preservatives and carries a five year shelf life.

The values built into every jar

Chandler Honey’s supply chain has one link: Scandia Honey Company, the same Alberta farm where Tique grew up, in operation since 1937. Buying direct from a single, known source means the company can vouch for how the bees are kept and how the honey is handled at every step.

The company is female-owned and operated, and every jar ships in glass with a metal lid, both recyclable rather than plastic. Chandler Honey describes its honey as organic, though formal organic certification is not yet complete. A 2022 grant from the ICCC-Pizza Hut Equal Slice Program is funding that certification process, alongside a kosher certification the company is also pursuing.

Chandler Honey remains in good standing with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, and every jar is dated with a five year best before stamp at the agency’s suggestion.

How Chandler Honey works with corporate teams

Chandler Honey offers fully customized labels, printed in a company’s own logo and colours, on the same jars sold at retail. The company has created custom jars for Bell Canada, sized and labelled for a corporate order rather than a store shelf.

Honey works as a corporate gift because it is small, shelf stable, and non-perishable for years, so it never clutters a desk or spoils before someone opens it. Tique built the company small enough that a corporate order still gets her direct attention: teams interested in a custom run email her directly at tique@chandlerhoney.ca for pricing.

Her growing profile, including two features on Shopify’s blog and a feature from the Inner City Capital Connections program, reflects a founder who has scaled an apartment business into a company that corporate teams can order from with confidence, without losing the family story that makes the honey worth gifting.

Three ways to gift Chandler Honey

  • Onboarding kits. Pair a single small jar with a welcome note for a new hire’s first week.
  • Client thank-you. Send a medium jar with a custom label in your company’s colours after a signed contract.
  • Holiday box. Build a season around the Core Collection bundle, five flavours in one box.
  • Event favour. Hand out small jars as a take-home favour at a conference booth or trade show.

Frequently asked questions

Is it made in Canada?

Yes. The honey is sourced from Scandia Honey Company in Scandia, Alberta, the Chandler family farm in operation since 1937. Chandler Honey creams and infuses it by hand at its Toronto headquarters, and the company remains in good standing with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.

Can we add our logo?

Yes. Chandler Honey prints custom labels in a company’s own logo and colours, the same process used for a recent Bell Canada order. Email tique@chandlerhoney.ca directly to start a custom order.

What quantities work?

Chandler Honey handles corporate orders directly by email rather than through a fixed order form, so quantities and pricing are set case by case. Send your headcount and timeline and Tique will quote it from there.

Is it certified?

Chandler Honey is in good standing with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and describes its honey as organic, though formal organic and kosher certification are still in progress, funded in part by a 2022 ICCC-Pizza Hut Equal Slice Program grant.

Tique Chandler still ships every jar knowing exactly which farm it came from, more than 27,000 jars and counting since that first batch in her apartment. A logo on the label does not change any of that.
